We are Apostolic Pentecostal, and we are affiliated with the UPCI.
At The Well of Scottsburg, you'll find a welcoming, multi-generational church family made up of people from many different backgrounds and walks of life. Whether you're new to church, searching for answers, or looking for a place to grow in your relationship with God, there is a place for you here.
We are passionate about sound doctrine, biblical preaching, heartfelt worship, and experiencing the power of God. Our desire is to live out the apostolic message in both doctrine and practice while sharing the Pentecostal experience with our community.
Our mission is simple: Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples.

What Service Looks Like.
Praise and Worship
Our services begin with a time of heartfelt praise and worship through music and singing. We believe worship is one of the primary ways we express our love and devotion to God. Our worship team leads the congregation in songs that focus on honoring Him and creating an atmosphere where people can connect with God.
Because we are an Apostolic Pentecostal church, you will see people lifting their hands, clapping, rejoicing, and expressing their worship in many other ways. You will also hear people speaking in tongues, as in Acts 2:38. While many people choose to participate in these expressions of worship, you are welcome to engage at your own comfort level.
Prayer
Prayer is an important part of every service at The Well. We regularly pray for the needs of our church family, our community, and our guests.
During our services, we have a dedicated time of prayer for the needs of the congregation, so if you have a special need and would like someone to pray with you, our pastor and ministry team would be honored to do so. Participation is always voluntary, and you are welcome to engage at whatever level feels comfortable to you.
Preaching and Altar Call
Following worship, one of our ministers will share a message from God's Word. We believe that under God’s anointing, the preaching of Scripture has the power to encourage, challenge, and transform lives.
At the conclusion of the message, we offer an altar call. This is an opportunity for anyone who would like to pray, respond to the message, or seek God in a deeper way. Many people come forward during this time, and we have seen God work in powerful ways as lives are touched and changed by His loving hand.
What We Believe.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and is the ultimate authority on salvation and Christian living – 2 Timothy 3:15-17
God
We believe there is only one God. He has revealed Himself as Father (Creator), Son (Savior), and Holy Ghost (Indwelling Spirit) – Deuteronomy 6:4, Ephesians 4:4-6, Colossians 2:9, 1 Timothy 3:16
Sin
We believe that everyone has sinned and needs salvation – Romans 3:23-25, 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9
The Gospel
We believe the Gospel is the good news of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We obey the Gospel by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in Jesus’ Name (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection) – 2 Thessalonians 1:8, I Peter 4:17, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39, Romans 6:3-4, John 3, I Corinthians 15:1-4
The Church
We believe the church has been "called out" of the world to be a habitation of God through the Spirit. As the body of Christ on earth, the church offers hope to all mankind. We believe that the church is one body made up of many members, diverse in their gifts and callings of the Holy Spirit. We believe as Christians we should love Jesus and love others, while living holy inwardly and outwardly, and worshiping God joyfully – Mark 12:28-31, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Hebrews 12:14
Spiritual Gifts
We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit; tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy, words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, and healing – Mark 16:15-18, Acts 5:16, 1 Corinthians 12:1-11
